OUR STORY

Named for the Light on the Coast

Faro is the word for lighthouse in several Mediterranean languages - a single warm light that tells you you're on the right course. It's also the name of a small city on Portugal's Algarve coast, where we planned our first journeys.

We started Faro because the best trips we ever took were the ones with the fewest decisions in them. We still plan every journey the same way: one conversation, one planner, one itinerary shaped entirely around you.
